Diamond Setter

Beards are looking for a talented and experienced Diamond Setter for immediate start.

Flexible hours dependent on circumstances, initially 2-3 days a week.

Based in our workshops above our prestigious flagship Cheltenham store, you will be working alongside our small but extremely talented team comprising of an experienced Goldsmith, Apprentice and CAD Designer.

We are looking for a dynamic and hard-working individual with great communication skills, organisational skills and the ability to complete work to the standards of our affluent clients.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Expert in stone setting and working with fine jewellery.
  • Exceptional eye for detail.
  • Ability to work with all precious gemstones of any shape or size to an exceptional standard.
  • The ability to re-tip and re-build claws and the ability to re-set replacement stones.
  • Excellent finishing, communication and organisational skills.
  • Dynamic with the ability to turnaround web orders at short notice.
  • Strong team attitude.
  • Passionate about jewellery.
  • Ability to prioritise work and use initiative.
  • English speaking.
  • Legally able to work in the UK – Visa, Permit or UK Resident.
  • Honest and trustworthy.

Founded in 1804, Beards is one of the oldest family-run jewellers in Britain. With a cornerstone location on Cheltenham's Promenade, Beards is synonymous with quality, expertise and service. With an on-site jewellery workshop and watch-repair studio, we offer a full after-sales service, as well as brands from Omega to Georg Jensen. Recently opened in 2017, Beards are now also located in The Royal Arcade, Bond Street, London.

Marketing & E-Commerce Assistant

Since 1804, we have sold the finest in jewellery and timepieces. Our foundation is our extensive and rich heritage, but the development of our digital presence is what will keep us at the forefront of luxury retail.


Assisting our Marketing & E-Commerce Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop or learn skills vital for the luxury jewellery and watch retail market.


We are looking for a talented individual to:

  • Assist in managing digital products and web content
  • Work with our marketing director to support the creation and scheduling of stunning content for our social media channels and direct marketing.
  • Assist with the development and management of SEO, PPC and paid ad strategies
  • Help drive online and in-store sales through analysis of marketing data
  • Support with event planning and management
  • Carry out administrative tasks that ensure the smooth operation of all marketing and digital activities


    Our ideal candidate would have the following skills:

  • A strong mix of analytical, creative and communication skills
  • An extensive understanding of E-Commerce trends and best practices
  • A friendly, positive and intuitive attitude with the ability to work with minimal oversight
  • A clear understanding of all social media platforms and their nuances.
  • The ability to work on multiple high priority projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of luxury jewellery and watches is a bonus but training will be provided


    Successful applicants should have:

  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (PS and ID)
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Experience with social media platforms
  • An in-depth knowledge of what makes a successful E-Commerce website
  • The ability to work accurately and at a fast pace
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • A presentable, amiable and trustworthy nature
